  • a design computation for in-wind and across-wind loading to determine the optimal wall thickness,
  • a design computation in-wind loading only, and insert a Tuned Mass Damper later on to counter act across-wind vibrations,
  • a design computation with plate thicknesses available in store,
  • a design checking computation with user specified wall thickness.

Design and design checking computations can be
executed for the following modeling codes (norms):

  • CICIND modeling code,
  • DIN 4133 norm, Eurocode, reference formulation or following country specific wind loading and boxed values for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland and United Kingdom,
  • ASME STS-1.

Structural Details

The following structural details can be accounted for:

  • varying (tapered) shaft diameter,
  • extra masses fitted to the shaft,
  • drag increasing structures, such as signs and ladders,
  • helical vanes to counteract across-wind vibrations,
  • design and influence of a Tuned Mass Damper,
  • influence of and interaction with guy wires,
  • influence of flexible foundation on natural frequency and deflections,
  • structural damping ratio or decrement model code specific or user specified,
  • apertures, flanges, stiffening rings and several base plate structures,
  • in- and external insulation and cladding,
  • welding quality and working temperature,
  • selectable steel qualities along the shaft and for flanges, stiffening rings or base plate,
  • checking the resistance to earthquakes
